Becoming The Splendid Company
We are a small, woman-owned shop started in 2012 by Donna Owens. We began as as home-based candy shop called Splendid Sweets Co. Our confectioner has been making traditional hand-stirred fudge for over 30 years, along with other tasty treats like chocolate-dipped "Marshies", cookies and fruit barks. Along with making candy for gift-giving, Donna developed a love (okay, obsession) for Tea Towels - and the more quirky and whimsical, the better! You will see a heavy Tea Towel inventory in the shop.
Donna's always been somewhat of a free-spirit, a whole bunch of an overachiever, and a dynamic gift gifter...so with that combo and drive, she started curating home goods, and other gifts to make people feel extra special. It wasn't long before she launched The Splendid Company.
